This weekend was a successful one at the Lady Eagles Craft Show at Franklin County High.
I saw lots of return customers and met new ones, and the business was pretty constant throughout the day.
Thank you, Linda, for the help! I enjoy having you come along to keep things fun and interesting. We make a good team.
Thank you, Lori, for all the hard work in managing this show. I know how much work and heart you give to this show. We all appreciate the effort.
My schedule for the rest of the year is as follows:
Bassett High School Craft Show is November 16, 9-5 and November 17, 1-5.
Humble Heart Open House is December 7, 10-5 and December 8, 1-5.
If you are in the area and can come, I invite you to visit us at the Open House. There is always fun to be had. We make taco soup and serve everyone who enters. Purchase your last minute gifts for teachers, co-workers, and friends. We have ornaments, quilts, jewelry, photography, knitting, crochet, home decor and lots more.
Hope your week is blessed,
Pat

Dining Room- Check!
Start the Christmas music and get ready, set, GO!
Have to get started early, because the Open House is Dec. 7th and 8th. Dining room is the first room to get the holiday spirit.

I love Burlap!
I love the country look of burlap! Who knew when we were feeding the animals from the burlap sacks that they would become so popular as a stylish decor.
I have been working with some of this stuff making burlap wreaths for the harvest season.
I think I like the way this is turning out. I think I may try some flowers next.
I appreciate all comments!
Blessings,
Pat

Floyd Show
This weekend was a very successful one at the Floyd High School Arts and Crafts Show in Floyd, VA.
We always have such fun at this show every year and are signed up for the 2014 show already.
So good to see old friends and to make new ones.
Patty Spencer and Melissa Austin crochet these rag rugs and they are beautiful!
Carly Burke of Mountain Light Jewelry! Gorgeous copper and silver pieces.
My hand cut, hand painted wood ornaments. I personalize these at the craft shows.
My light bulb ornaments and Larry's wonderful photos!
These owls were very hot this year. And more of Larry's photos.
We had a great time. Join us next year! You'll love it!
Blessings to all,

October Show
Please join us for the craft show this weekend at the Floyd County High School. This show is full of crafts and quality handmade items. There are vendors in the new gym and the old gym and all around the outside of the school. You'll find a huge variety of arts and crafts. Something for everyone. This is a great show, folks and these ladies really have all their ducks in a row when it comes to taking care of their vendors. We love this show. Don't miss out on this day of shopping and fun in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
Highlights from last year.

Finishes!
Just finished quilting and binding the little crib quilt.
These little critters are machine embroidered onto vintage feed sack material and I think they are adorable. I then blocked and bordered the quilt in teal green.
This is my very first attempt at custom quilting with my long arm machine. It's not perfect, but with a little practice, maybe I'll get better at it. My machine is not equipped with a stitch regulator. I think that would probably help a lot.
Anyways, here are pictures.
Let me know your thoughts and feel free to offer suggestions and hints.
Blessings,
Pat

Candle Cozies
I have an embroidery machine on loan from a friend, Ginger, who bought a newer machine. She was kind enough to allow me use of her older model Bernina in exchange for painting lessons. I have recently been experimenting with some vintage feed sack material from another lovely friend, Carly, of Mountain Light Jewelry. Carly inherited quite a lot of this material and was generous to share with me (Momma Pat).
Here are some candle cozies I put together this past week.
Aren't they sweet?
Blessings to all
