New Handbags on the way!

I have been working on more handbags this week.  My new best friend Carly and I did some bartering at Christmas time.  She is a wonderful jewelry artist and made my girls copper cuffs for Christmas, and I was to make her one of my professional size purses in exchange. ( When she decided what fabric choice was right for her.)  Well, she stopped in for a visit last week and she liked this fabric a lot, so I have been busy.
So, here is the front of the bag!

Working on the back pocket for the bag.

Here I am sewing the sides to the bag and closing up the bottom.

This is the outside shell of the handbag.

I have four of these on the way!  One is for Carly, one for my daughter, Laura, and the other two will be for sale at $60.00 plus shipping.  E-mail if you are interested.
Now on to make the lining and finish the bags.  Wish me luck!

Blessings to all,

Spring!!!!

After a nice warm weekend here in Virginia, everything is looking Spring Green.  I love it!

On my way to pick up the little man from preschool, I was so happy to see signs of spring everywhere.  Some forsithia blooming. These were in a nice yard near the school.

And these "dilly daffies" are in bloom on the east side of our house.
Such a welcome sight!  I couldn't resist bringing some in for the table.
I sincerely hope that spring blossoms are brightening the world that you all live in as well!
Blessings,

Bunnies are Multiplying!

I think I'm getting my mojo back.  I'm feeling better and the creative juices are flowing again.  It has a lot to do with the fact that I worked at the gallery this weekend.  Being surrounded by all that artistic talent, you can't help getting inspired.

So, I'm working on bunnies and I think, being Spring (almost) that they are multiplying fast.  These are the bodies.

They don't look like much until you give them some clothes.  The sweaters are made from recycled socks.   And then they need faces.

And this is how they turned out!  What do you think?  Cute, huh!
Blessings,

No.. I have not dropped off the face of the earth!!

It's been a bit of a dreary past two weeks.  Not much inspiration stirring, I'm afraid.
So today I expressed my moody self to my daughter, and what do I get?  Tough love, MOM, tough love!!
OK.  Get over it and get on with it.

Working on some small projects, and a couple of large ones.  Iris wallhanging is quilted and needing a binding.  I am also working on two bed-sized quilt tops.  Scrappy designs.
Also I have been working on light bulb ornaments to sell at a lake festival in July.  This festival sports lots of hot air balloons, and I have been invited to sell my hot air balloon tree ornaments there.  I want to have a good amount of inventory, as I think this might be a successful adventure.  Hope so anyway.
Please leave a
comment to let me know what you think.
Blessings to all.
