Whew!

It has been a busy couple of months!  Craft shows and craft booths have kept me hopping.

The craft shows are done for the year except for my Craft Open House.  This I do each year on the second weekend in December.  Here are the details and I invite you to come if at all possible:

We serve taco soup and finger foods to all who enter and the hand made crafts and gifts are amazing.
Photography, Quilting, Crochet, Knitting, Wood working, and Personalized Ornaments.  So much fun and friendship!  You won't want to miss it!

An Artist in the Making

I have the pleasure of babysitting my great nephew who is 2 1/2 years old.  He is a pleasant, happy kid who enjoys every adventure we attempt together.  This kid never cries unless something is really wrong and even when he has his momentary meltdowns, they are gone as quickly as they come.

While I do my crafting, I get him busy on a project sitting beside me at the work table.  He loves to paint with my watercolors. And these are easy to clean up.  I give him 4x6 cards to paint and his color choices are great.

Yesterday,  I decided to use his paintings as backgrounds for some Halloween silhouettes and this is how they look.

Lovely Saturday!

Spent the day at the General Store on Smith Mountain Lake today.  Crafters and Artisans set up in the parking lot on the 2nd Saturday of each month during the summer. and I have met so many new customers and friends.

Crafters are a special type of "family".  We are all passionate about what we do.  I love it when people can get together and share their God given talents with others. I have been blessed with many new friendships!

Ok, we're getting close to busy season again.  Where has the summer gone?  Lately, I've been working on Christmas ornaments to sell in my Etsy store.

This tends to be my favorite time of the year for crafting.

Almost Finished!

 Once in a while I just have an uncontrollable urge to hand quilt a project. Finished this little wall hanging.  Now I just need to get the binding done.

That little bird has to be my favorite block in the quilt.
