I know that for a crafter I am sorely behind already this new year. I'm up to my neck in bunnies of different sizes and shapes and I think maybe it should be time to start Americana for 4th of July.
Yesterday, I took some time to research marketing for HHD and the effort is proving to be worth the time. I am learning a lot. I realize that advertising doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, it can be free in a lot of ways that I haven't utilized yet. I think I shall start using some of the tips learned.
1. Business cards- lots of them and leave them everywhere you can. At restaurants with a tip, on a restroom sink, on the desk at receptionist window, with payment at a checkout counter. Anywhere!
2. Signage on your car. Window decals, magnetic signs, or bumper stickers. These are not that expensive.
3. Banners at shows. People can read these from outside your booth and who knows what a person might remember.
4. T-shirts, bags, and keychains with your business logo. Wear the shirts to shows and carry your name on your purse. It could get the name out there.
I'm still learning, but I know that I can put these ideas to work right away. As artisans and crafters we find it hard to brag on our own work, but maybe a little boasting is just plain good for business.
I am going to do this and with God's help have the best year yet!!
Blessings to all
