What's on My Workbench!

I have been happily creating some wooden hand painted mandala pendants this week. 

These are all ready to go.  I am not a jewelry maker, but I am enjoying this process.

There is something very relaxing about putting dots on a piece of wood.  Can't explain it.....But, so much fun!

At this time I am busy working on some Easter projects to sell at my booth in Salem. 

Here are some eggs I have come up with this year to add to my collection for Easter.  I almost sold all of my wrapped and painted eggs last year.  Just trying a new style this year.  I am pleased with the results.  Let me know what you think.

I also stitched up some carrots in muslin, painted them, tied them in little bunches of three.  We, after all, have to feed our little bunny pals.

Underground Railroad Quilt

This week I got the Underground Railroad top loaded into the quilting machine and started the quilting.  Hoping to get it quilted in a couple of days.  I'm using a pantograph design.  My mid arm machine can only handle about a 6" quilting area.  Boy, would I love to have a larger long arm machine.  They are quite pricey though.

Anyway...... here is what I have started.....

Christmas in July

This weeks project is a Christmas wall hanging using machine embroidery redwork.  I love this nativity design.

I decided I liked the little 2" squares of white.  The sashing is a red fabric with small gold flecks.  Ready for quilting!

This week has been spent making more "Bright Idea" Ornaments.  I like the way they turned out.

These sell for $6 each and may be personalized on the back with names and dates.

Plumping up the Inventory

I've been continually working on Christmas inventory for the fall and winter craft shows that I will be doing this year.

I designated the month of June for painting my recycled spoon ornaments and wound up painting around 200-250 of these little gems.  Here are some of the new ones that have been added this year.

This month (July) I decided to work on recycled light bulb ornaments.  These are great sellers for me. I personalize all ornaments if the customer prefers. Both the spoons and the light bulbs can be personalized with names and dates on the back.  

All these ornaments are hand made by me in my Virginia mountain home.  The spoons and the light bulbs will all sell for $6. Message me if you're interested.
Next month will be wooden ornament month.  Soon I will post craft show dates as well.
