It has been far too long since the last post!
Currently I am working on quilt blocks that are appliqued by machine and hand quilted. I love the hand quilting process. It is so relaxing for me to just sit and quilt with my fingers. And it is so rewarding to see the results of all that time. I have become a pretty speedy hand quilter, but each one takes a lot of time.
The dutch girl needs binding and a hanging sleeve. I think that both of these will be wall hangings.
The lady slipper wallhanging is in the process of being hand quilted. I love this pattern and I think I'll do a series of floral designs.
Blessings to All!

Finished Projects
Well, after lots of prayin' and rippin' the quilt is finished. I let it and my nerves rest for about three days, then went back to work after I got prayed up. It's finished. I have come to the conclusion that I need more practice at this long arm quilting thing. I am determined to at least get better at it. I got the binding finished on Monday and here it is.
This week I have been working on some things to take to the gallery on Saturday. This is Sadie, my little pioneer doll. She will sell for $35.00. E-mail to purchase.
And some painted books that can be hung on the wall with a ribbon or used as a shelf sitter. These sell for $8.00 each. E-mail to purchase.
~~~Hope everyone has a beautiful day! Thanks for checking out my blog!
God Bless!
I have been working on a new quilt for the gallery. A log cabin design made with jewel tone batiks. Finished the quilt top today and loaded it into the quilting machine. I am a novice at this long arm quilting and have only done stippling or swirls, so tonight I thought I'd try one of the pantagraph designs. I spent some time
ripping out stitches, fussin' and fuming, and finally just giving up.
I'll try again tomarrow. :)
Blessings,
Pat
Heat Wave!
We have a heat wave on the way here in Virginia. The temps have been so cold lately, but the local weatherman is calling for a week of 40-47 degrees. We'll take it!!!
It has been a short week for me. Took down the Christmas decorations, well, most of them. Put up a few Valentine decorations. Now, today I will clean house.
I have posted photos of some of the work I've been doing this past week. Finished another lap quilt, and the Valentines wallhanging will go to the art gallery this Saturday. I will be working there on Sat. from 11-4. I invite you to come visit the St. Pierre Gallery in Floyd, Virginia. We have a variety of collections from local artisans. The talent is unbelieveable! You'll be glad you came!
Happy Day to all!
Conversation Hearts Tutorial
I decided while working on these fun Valentine conversation heart bowl fillers, that I could share this pattern with my friends. So, on the left side of my blog you will find instructions and tips to craft your own Valentine
decorations simply with some muslin and craft paint. Hope you enjoy doing these as much as I did!
Good luck, and let me know if you like them.
Blessings!
Business as Usual
Ok, holidays over. Back to work!
This has been a very busy week for me. Finished a lap quilt to sell at the gallery, put together another, and a Valentine wallhanging, made 3 prim Raggedies with hearts, made 2 prim heart shaped pinkeeps, and knitted some dishcloths. All while babysitting my nephew! I think I have impressed myself!
I will be working tomarrow (Sat.) at the St.Pierre Gallery in Floyd, VA from 11-4. I invite you all to come and see me and check out all the beautiful handcrafted art. We have Paintings, Jewelry, Furniture, Pottery,
Fiber arts and much, much more. I have to keep my hands busy, so you'll probably find me working on a project while there. Come in and visit.
I have posted some pics of some of my work. If you see something you like please email me at
New Year-----New Beginnings!
Any New Year resolutions? I don't usually make them. They are just too easily broken. This year I hope to get healthier and lose some of the meds I am currently taking, so maybe that is a resolution. Our family is at the moment happy and healthy and that is a huge blessing.
I hope I can re-vamp my blog and get more crafting and art done for the spring and summer seasons. I normally do mostly fall and winter projects. Now, with the Floyd Artisan Market as a sales outlet, I need to expand my vision. I am up for that!!!
I just finished two quilt tops and hope to get those quilted next week. I will be working at the art gallery in Floyd on Saturday and hope to get them done by then.. Also I have crafted four Raggedy Ann Prim Dolls to take. Look for me there!
I hope that all my blogger friends have a great New Year and that God will bless us all in a special way.
